“ELIZABETH & NIKI”
Famed Celebrity Photographer: Steve Diet Goedde granted me permission to create paintings based on his images for my Erotic Art Series in 2008. The original photo of Elizabeth and Niki is black and white. I found him online and his work took my breath away. We signed an agreement and I began altering the images for my POP ART style, adding the striped booty shorts and creating a strong, hard metal corset for Elizabeth, as she stands there stoic as Niki breathes her in. The painting was originally painted on 2 canvases to make it 96” tall and 72” wide. It was sold to Sean R. Harrison, along with 6 of my original paintings that were proudly displayed until his untimely death in 2021. Heather Harrison (Sean’s wife) gifted these original paintings to me and they ultimately inspired me to paint again after a 10 year Sabbatical . . . . my period of reflection and growth that blossomed my present work.
Steve Diet Goedde's photo stream caught my eye..... "Elizabeth & Niki" (middle) and "Cherished" on the right. This generated the email to request permission in 2008.
